What's Happened to the Embed Feature on Medium?

It’s not worked for weeks, anyone know what I am doing wrong? Please help!

Hey Mediumers,

I am looking for a little bit of help and I am hoping someone here knows the remedy.

I used to always use the embed feature on Medium.

It’s working fine for external links e.g. Twitter.

But every time I try embed a Medium link e.g. a previous Medium story it doesn't come out properly. Instead I get this:

The above images are taken from stories AFTER publishing (sometimes the link would correct itself afterwards but now it just remains the same).

I think it looks awful when it doesn’t work correctly and sometimes you need to use it in a story.

If anyone knows what the problem is PLEASE let me know in the comments. I will be eternally grateful.
